Composure Records is a new progressive house label run by Paul Davies. Over the past four years Paul has worked alongside his brother (Gareth Davies) as Flytrapp (Limbo Records) and more recently Beam Strategic (Quad Communications) gaining respect from a wide variety of DJÕs including Anthony Pappa and Nick Warren.

Composure Records was born in 1998 the moment Sasha put the needle down on a coloured Universal Prime Breaks 12". The scene? It was 3.20am at the Powerhouse in Bristol. Sasha had just arrived and the 300 or so remaining faithful were treated to one of those sets that only the "man like" can deliver. A few days later Gareth hunted down the opening 12" via Bang Bang Records and when Paul looked into starting a label up there was only one name to use, Composure.

That record and the set that followed is what Composure is all about. Beautiful cruising music for the clubbing faithful. Where creativity mixed with the emotion of club culture can be fused to create a listening experience suitable for any environment. The label will be exclusively distributed by Unique Distribution. UniqueÕs history with the dance scene speaks for itself, distributing labels such as Dorigen and Inkfish amongst others. Over the coming months Composure will be releasing a number of tracks created in the Flytrapp studio. Flytrapp will deliver the early material under different guises. Then the focus will shift onto bringing in and developing new talent and other existing producers who fit into the Composure way of thinking.

The future is looking good and hopefully as the label grows so will the history.
